How to Consign
Thanks for your interest in consigning with Growing Green!
-
We review items for consignment each day we’re open, Tuesday through Saturday, up to an hour before closing.
-
We are happy to look at up to 25 items per consignor, per day.
-
We are currently taking a limited amount of clothing. The amount we can accept will fluctuate based on staffing, schedules, and what is selling. We are always happy to pre-sort your items with you to let you know which items we will accept in the future, but we may ask you to bring them back another day.
-
Our goal is to develop a steady pipeline of dropoffs. more of a ‘fill a bag and drop it off’ system, rather than a ‘keep all your stuff separated by season until the appropriate time and drop it all off at once’ kind of system. You can drop things off as you go, and we can process them in a more timely manner.
-
In addition, we maintain a list of PRIORITY items that we will almost always accept. Our current PRIORITY list is:
Toys
-
Dolls and doll accessories
-
Little Tikes, Step 2, Lovevery, and Melissa and Doug toys
Clothing
-
Boys' pants, sizes 6-8
-
Boys' and young mens' blazers, suits, and ties
-
Girls' and young womens' holiday attire
-
Holiday pajamas
Books
-
Holiday/Seasonal books
-
DogMan
-
Babysitters Club
To help us get your items on the sales floor as quickly as possible, please follow these guidelines, and be sure to follow the consignment golden rule: only consign what you would buy!
#1 Prep Your Items
This might be the most important part of the process. The better your items look, the more we’ll be able to accept and sell!

Sizes Accepted: Newborn to 20 youth.
We will also accept up to adult size small/medium clothing that will appeal to tweens and teens (Nike, American Eagle, lululemon, Aviator Nation, Adidas, Under Armor, Vineyard Vines, etc.)
-
Clothing must be freshly washed and neatly folded with all buttons/zippers/snaps fastened.
-
Clothing must also be free of stains, holes, and pet hair - please check carefully!
-
Group sets together (sets count as 1 piece).
-
Bring your items in reusable shopping bags - no garbage bags, please - and separate clothing from other items.
Shoes:
Sizes Accepted: Newborn to mens/womens size 9
-
Shoes must be wiped clean, dirt-free, with laces tied.
Other items:

-
Please make sure all parts and pieces are included and that items have working batteries, if applicable.

#2 Drop Off Procedure
If you are a new consignor, we will go over our Consignor Agreement, which outlines our policies and procedures, and set up your Consignor Account. There is a one-time fee of $5 to set up a new account, which we can deduct directly from your earnings.
When you arrive, we will look over your items to ensure they are ready for the sales floor. If there are items we cannot accept for sale, we will return them to you.
Accepted items will be priced, tagged, and placed on the sales floor as soon as we can process them.
If any stains or issues are discovered with your items during processing, we will donate or recycle the item(s) in question.
